Take a break from your busy mind, get your hands busy, and enjoy a cozy afternoon together. The workshop will be held in English and is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

A Unique Serving Platter, Made by You

During this wintery Sgraffito Workshop, you’ll work on a beautiful ceramic serving platter, handmade by us!

Your platter will be ready for you, and you can decorate it entirely to your own taste. No ordinary plate, but a unique ceramic piece that you design yourself.

Let’s Get Creative with Sgraffito

We’ll start by using different colors of engobe to create a beautiful, colorful base for your platter.

Then comes the magic of sgraffito.

Using a scratching tool, you’ll draw and scratch through the layer of engobe. Slowly, the lines of your design will appear, revealing the lighter clay underneath. This creates a beautiful contrast and gives your platter a unique look.

For this Winter Workshop, you can of course embrace all kinds of winter-inspired designs.

Think:

• Snowflakes
• Branches and pine trees
• Stars
• Wintery figures
• Beautiful patterns
• Snow and nature
• Festive details

But maybe you have something completely different in mind. A minimalist pattern, a word, flowers, or a design you’ve had in your head for a while.

Anything goes.

Bring Your Own Idea

You can look for inspiration on Pinterest beforehand and print out a design to bring with you. You can use it as a reference during the workshop or even trace it onto your platter.

Prefer not to prepare anything in advance? That’s absolutely fine too!

You can take your time finding inspiration during the workshop and come up with your own design on the spot.

You don’t need any experience with ceramics or the sgraffito technique. We’ll explain everything step by step and help you whenever needed.

The most important thing? Enjoy yourself, get creative, and go home with something you’re proud of.
